The most exceptional place to have your wedding service. We booked this over 2 years ago and ever since, Laura and Sue have been the most caring wedding planners possible. They put so much work into making sure our day was exceptional and we absolutely loved it.

The pressure on any planners to live to the expectations of wedding couples is quite daunting I imagine. But it was never a problem for the Racquet Club and they could only do more for us. The venue was beautiful and classy, the food was delicious and the way they looked after all our guests made us very happy we picked this venue. If you want a wedding that has a historical venue with class and elegance and very helpful staff, you can’t do much better than the Racquet Club. Ziba was also a lovely space to have drinks and canapés as well!

Perfect Wedding venue & amazing staff


We had our wedding here in April which was the best wedding ever! Not being biased but everyone had the best time including us (roll on our anniversary party)!


The venue was perfect, we got married inside aswell as our day time and night time party (all under one roof which I loved, no worries about everyone getting from place to place) 8 rooms available for you and your guests to use aswell which is handy! And all have different styles to them!


A building with real character and felt like you were in“bridgerton” at some points!


The staff are what top this place off by far! They are all super helpful and friendly, they go out of their way to accommodate any needs you have!


Sue and Laura in particular were amazing and there other member of staff who had long dark hair (so sorry I can’t remember her name) but thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for making it the best experience for us! From booking up until we left you were all amazing!


Book this for your wedding and you won’t be disappointed!


Oh and forgot to mention the food 💗💗💗🥰🥰🥰 wow we had the lamb for main! Incredible 👍🏻everyone is still commenting on how great it was! Thanks again! We’ll see you soon x

I cannot thank you and the team at the racquet club for hosting my birthday celebration yesterday. From enquiry to the end, it is been such a smooth operation. You put all my fears at ease and made it a pleasant experience. The food was amazing with all my guests commenting on how beautiful it was. We hired this venue for my sister's wedding. And WOW! It was amazing!!! From the very first viewing of the venue, Sue and all the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There are so many different spaces within the venue to choose where to have each part of a wedding. The set up was just gorgeous, with such a good atmosphere. The hotel only has 8 bedrooms, but they are all stunning. On the big day, everything ran smoothly, absolutely no hiccups along the way. The staff are so organised, they have everything covered. The food and the buffet were absolutely delicious. The bar was very reasonably priced considering its in the middle of Liverpool City centre. I really could fault anything. Thank you so much to Sue and all the staff for making our few days so amazing. You all worked so hard! We really appreciate everything you did for us 😃

Fantastic wedding reception held here staff are wonderful nothing too much trouble for them Sue and Lauren took great care of us all. To top it off we all stayed in the magnificent Victorian designed rooms with some really lovely period furniture shame we were only here for the one night. Breakfast was excellent and good portions served hot and very tasty by a lovely lady (Sorry didn't get her name)

So we had our ceremony at Liverpool Town Hall, and reception at the Racquet Club. Couldn't fault the staff from start to finish. The venue has real character, it's a great space, we had around 80 day guests and an extra 30 in the evening. We had a band and the dancefloor was full all night. The food was amazing, so many guests have commented on it since! (We chose lamb, if you're wondering) I also think the drinks packages were pretty good value for a city centre venue. We also had our families staying over - and the 8 rooms were great, comfortable and breakfast next day was ideal! We met with Sue and she talked us through everything, and knows inside out what makes a good wedding, especially here! The venue doesn't have an outdoor space, which didn't bother us because it's so close to the docks you literally just cross the road. Our pictures outside the liver building at golden hour were unreal. Guests could also enjoy the best sights of Liverpool when they stepped out for a breather. If you want to be well looked after, you want great quality food and wine on the day (that won't cost the earth) and an incredible city centre location then the Racquet Club is spot on!

We got married at the Racquet Club in February 2013. Neither of us are particularly ‘wedding-y’ and didn’t really have much of a clue what we were doing – we just knew we wanted good food, plenty to drink, good music and a fun time for our guests. Sue and the team took care of us right from the beginning, and nothing was ever too much trouble during the planning stages. The menu tasting remains one of our fondest wedding memories – getting to spend an evening together, sampling the excellent food and wine in Ziba restaurant, and picturing everyone enjoying the dishes with us on the day. The wedding itself was exactly what we’d hoped for, and friends and family still refer to it as one of their favourite weddings 8 years on (many people have fond memories of the food, in particular the lamb, the chocolate trio and the evening bacon butties!). The various parts of the day flowed seamlessly into each other and we were able to relax, confident that the Racquet Club team were on top of things and dealing with any little hiccups that may have arisen. The staff were so friendly and pleasant, and the bar team kept our very thirsty guests well-oiled to the extent that they drank the bar dry of Jagermeister – there were some sore heads the next day! Overall we found the entire experience highly professional, and at the same time friendly, down-to-earth and practical. The package was excellent value for money and the quality of the food was fantastic – to the extent that we returned on our anniversary a couple of years ago and had the same dinner!

We got married at our local church and had our reception at The Racquet Club ten years ago this year! We didn’t have a venue in mind when we were planning and had seen all the usual venues online and knew we wanted something a little bit different, we went to view The Racquet Club and never looked elsewhere! The venue is beautiful and so different to the regular venues, I loved that we could have the space for all our family and friends but that there was also spaces for people who didn’t want to be right next to the music! The food was amazing, we had the standard package and we have been back for the food since! We were on such a tight budget and after switching to the sit down meal option for 100 people we had to be mindful of money so we chose the alternative menu for the evening and it went down a treat with everyone! Sue was our support right the way through, nothing was a bother and other than leaving the table boxes with her the day before Sue did everything and I couldn’t have asked for more it was perfectly set out! We used all the rooms up in the venue, the staff were amazing and I really couldn’t have asked for a better day and I’m an honest reviewer I have left many the not so good reviews! So if you are looking for something that is central in Liverpool, great for travel links for travelling parties, great views for your pictures, the most supportive and friendly team to help with your planning, a unique venue with gorgeous food then The Racquet Club is definitely for you! Our only disappointment is that COVID has prevented us organising our 10 year anniversary party there, but another time! Thank you again to Sue and the team who made our day the most amazing day! Hailey Robinson - The most amazing venue, Sept 19

We had our ceremony at another venue but had a full wedding breakfast and evening party at raqcuet club. I am a very organised person and the team answered every email or question I had within 24 hours. This made me feel totally relaxed we were able to drop all luggae etc off the day before so i could fully relax on the day. On the actual day it all went so smoothly the staff made not just me and my husnband feel special but the whole wedding party. My nephew fell asleep during his meal it was no problem for them to cook him a fresh plate later on. All the food was gorgeous and I still get guests talking about it now. Especially the evening meal lasagne and mini pies. I worried that the venue would be to big and guests would be spread out however on the night every room was filled comfortably. We had about 110 in the evening and everyone had plenty of roon. I really enjoyed how the main room was full with people dancing but the other rooms gave place for people to sit in quieter spaces and have a drink and chat. Absolutley loved the Racquet club we are already planning to have a anniversary party there.

“Our Wedding” - DtotheT

I don't know where to begin and there aren't enough words to describe this place! Phenomenal! The building, the interior, the bedrooms, the food and mainly the staff! From the very 1st second we came to look round to the lady one of us leaving on Sunday they have been amazing! Polite, friendly, helpful, organised, patient, fun and impeccable! I can not recommend this venue enough! We've had dates here too along the way of planning. Nothing has been too much - the family dog even stayed overnight and got to come to our reception! I felt stress free, reassured and confident that our day would go to plan! I felt like a princess from the moment I came in to set up to the moment we left the next day! “Couldn't fault our wedding day here” - Danielle

Had a fabulous wedding here. the staff were amazing and looked after us very well. Very organised. Was always at the end of an e-mail to answer any queries I had and believe me that is an absolute godsend when you are a stressed out bride! The food was gorgeous. the venue is stunning and they had set the room up to exactly how I wanted it. Sue is such an asset to the hotel, we made some big changes to the wedding a few months before and she helped sort it all out with me and was so supportive so thank you for that!
